Life was going along swimmingly. Three years studying full time at University of Tasmania, 24 units completed, an average of a Distinction for my whole degree. The last couple of months this year (September and October) were difficult to get through, I was hit with a big wave of assessment fatigue. How many essays the write? How many words will that be? A thousand? Two thousand? Maybe I'll just go and bake some brownie cookies....

That is part of my creative process and constructive procrastination. That's what I liked to call it anyway. Can't figure out what to write in an assignment - bake something. John Kanell from Preppy Kitchen has some fabulous recipes on his YouTube channel and I would get inspired to make his yummy recipes. Whilst baking something I often would come up with a new plan or additional information to search for with an assessment. Plus, bonus yummy treats as well.

Another thing that helped with getting an assessment formulated in my brain was exercise. At the start of 2020 I started doing some strength training with Lewis, personal trainer and conveniently located next door. Monday and Friday strength and weight training, Wednesdays boxing. I guess everyone is wondering about Hector the Horrible, or heinous, or horrid, hideous, horrendous, hazardous.... Yes, as it turns out Hector is quite hazardous.

One of the exercises on my new program in October was "over the cane jumps". This is one where you imagine there is a stick on the ground, you start by standing on one side, then jump to the other side over the "cane". Those who know me, can understand that jumping like this could be classified as hazardous and maybe even an extreme sport....large boobs come with some challenges even when strapped down. So, I decided that holding my boobs firmly would diminish the chance of a stray black eye or some other damage to those nearby.

Ok, I have to do 50 jumps....one, two, three, four, five....what is that under my right thumb? A lump? Yes, I think that it is. I'd better go to my GP and get it checked just in case. Maybe it's a cyst, I've had a couple of those removed (under my right eye, and back of my neck) in the past. I did have a bruise in that area a couple of months ago because I walked into the corner of my book case in my room. Yes, another one of my stupid injuries. Perhaps it was a "crocodile or horse" injury. The nieces and nephews like to climb and jump on and off me (I'm usually called one or the other animal) and possibly a stray foot, knee, elbow or chin could've given me a bruise. Hmm, a GP. I don't really like any of the ones that I have gone to before. I have heard some good stories of the new GP who has opened up at Loftus near the station. When I've finished this class I'll look her up.
